Church Family,

Change is a constant part of our journey in faith, often calling us to step out of the familiar to better serve our purpose. After much prayer, reflection, and deep discussion among our leadership, we are writing to share a significant transition in the life of our congregation.

Beginning on March 29, 2026, we will be concluding our regular in-person Sunday services at the Grasonville Community Center to pivot toward a new, dynamic ministry model known as Centerpoint Ministries & Missions.

Why This Pivot?

Our mission has always been a community of believers passionately pursuing Christ and to reach people where they are. By transitioning to a digital and mission-based format, we are removing the walls of a traditional building to focus our resources directly on those two pillars:

Digital Connection: High-quality online services that allow us to worship together regardless of geography.

Hands-On Mission: Redirecting our time and financial resources toward direct community impact, local outreach, and global missions.

What to Expect Next?

We understand that this is a major shift, and we want to ensure everyone feels supported during this transition:

Our Final In-Person Gathering: We invite you to join us on March 29th at 10am for a special service of celebration and commissioning as we honor our history and look toward the future.

Digital Launch: In May, our first online service will go on our Facebook and YouTube.

Staying Connected.

We are not "closing"—we are expanding. Our leadership remains committed to your spiritual growth and pastoral care. Stay on our email list and follow us on social media. We will provide updated contact information for email and additional new ways to connect.

Thank you for your continued faith, your flexibility, and your dedication to the Gospel. We are hopeful you'll join us, we are very excited to see how God uses this new format to reach hearts we haven't yet touched.

8 Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.” -Isaiah 6:8 NLT

In Grace and Peace,

Pastor Brian Wade & SLT

Questions?

To help everyone navigate this transition, we’ve gathered answers to some possible questions regarding our shift to an online and mission-based format.

Why are we stopping in-person Sunday services?

Our goal is to transition from a "come and see" model to a "go and serve" model. By moving away from the overhead of a physical space, we can redirect 100% of our focus and resources toward digital evangelism and direct community impact.

Where and when will we worship?

Starting in May, our primary worship service will happen online Sundays at 10. These services will include worship and teaching to keep us connected.

How will we maintain a sense of community?

Community is about people, not just a place. We will continue to have life groups, women's and men's ministries as well as new opportunities to come together. Our long term goals include pop up church, worship/prayer nights and tent revivals. Missions provide even more opportunity.

What happens to our local outreach and missions?

This is the heart of our pivot! Without the constraints of a building, the goal is to increase our mission budget. We are partnering with local and international organizations to provide financial and hands-on help. You’ll receive updates detailing how you can get involved.

How do I continue my financial giving?

Your generosity is more vital than ever as we fund the new format and mission initiatives. You can continue to give securely via:

Online Giving Portal - can be used for single or recurring donations

Text 84321 - text the dollar amount & select "Centerpoint Church Kent Island" (this will be updated)

(Additional methods to come)

Do we have all the answers? No, probably not. We are prayerfully expectant for God to provide His hand in how this grows and evolves into a movement that points people to Him. We ask that you too be bold in your prayers for this ministry & the missions to reach as many people as we can on His behalf.
